New Commenting Features on YaleDailyNews.com

Dear YaleDailyNews.com subscriber,

When we relaunched the Oldest College Daily’s Web site last November, among the many new features was a commenting system, allowing your and other readers to make their voices heard in a public forum — to carry on a dialogue about the news.

This week, we have enhanced the comment system in three ways. First, comments will now be open on all stories published online, not just those posted after our new site launched. Second, readers who are not registered users can now leave their comments under a name instead of having to post anonymously. Dialogue, after all, is most productive when carried on with names attached to voices. Third, you can now use our comments index page to see your own comments, featured comments, and the hot topics of conversation.

We hope you enjoy these new features, and we look forward to hearing even more of what you have to say about the news, the views of our columnists and the News itself. As always, send any comments or questions to editor@yaledailynews.com.

Sincerely,
Andrew Mangino
